Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 July 2026
DailyLog ("DailyLog," "we," "us") provides a daily journal, to-do, and highlights application (the "Service"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to everyone who visits our website or uses the Service.
1. Information we collect
Account information. When you sign up, our authentication provider, Clerk, collects your email address and any profile information you choose to provide (such as a name or profile photo), along with sign-in metadata (device, approximate location, and timestamps) needed to keep your account secure.
Content you create. Journal entries, to-dos, highlights, photos you attach, and any preferences you set (theme, timezone, language, default view). This content is yours; we store it so the Service can show it back to you.
Billing information. If you subscribe to DailyLog Pro, our payment processor, Stripe, collects your payment card details directly. We never see or store your full card number. We do store your subscription status, plan, and renewal dates so we know what you're entitled to.
2. How we use your information
- To operate and maintain the Service (storing and syncing your journals, to-dos, and highlights).
- To process payments and manage your subscription.
- To communicate with you about your account, billing, or changes to the Service.
- To respond to feedback or support requests you send us.
- To keep the Service secure and prevent abuse.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use the content of your journal entries to train any models or to serve you advertising.
3. Who we share it with
We use a small number of third-party service providers to operate DailyLog. Each processes only the data needed to perform its function:
- Clerk — authentication and account management.
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
- Supabase — database and file storage for your journal content and photos.
These providers are contractually restricted from using your data for anything other than providing their service to us. We don't share your data with anyone else except where required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of DailyLog or our users.
4. International data transfers
DailyLog is operated from Singapore. Clerk, Stripe, and Supabase operate global infrastructure, which means your data may be processed or stored in other countries, including the United States. Each of these providers maintains its own safeguards for cross-border data transfers; you can review their respective privacy policies for details.
5. Data retention and deletion
We retain your account and content for as long as your account is active. If you'd like your account and all associated data deleted, email us at jimmylijy12@gmail.com and we'll process the request within a reasonable time.
Canceling a subscription stops future billing but does not by itself delete your account or content — you'll keep access to whatever the free plan allows.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, or to object to certain processing. You can exercise most of these directly in Settings (updating your profile, preferences, or theme), or by emailing us at jimmylijy12@gmail.com for anything else, including data export or deletion requests.
7. Children's privacy
DailyLog is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we'll delete it.
8. Cookies and local storage
We use cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in (via Clerk) and to remember your preferences, such as theme and accent color. We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you directly.
